One of the things about BMW is that when they find a successful product, they continue to adapt it from one body design to another until they complete the natural evolution of an idea. The BMW X Series is a startling example of how an idea can expand to take in the forces prescient from year to year.

In 2007, BMW launched the first model of its X Series. The idea was to create a luxury vehicle that provided superior power along with fuel economy. Finding themselves at the top of the class within two years, BMW designers sought to create larger vehicles with the same dynamics. Each X Series adaptation met with such success that today there are six BMW X Series models with a seventh coming.
